I GREW UP IN OKLAHOMA AND MOVED TO TEXAS IN 2002, I LIVED IN SAN ANTONIO FOR TWO YEARS WORKING FOR VARIOUS AMBULANCE COMPANIES BEFORE TAKING AN OFF-SHORE JOB. I THEN SETTLED IN THE PORT ARTHUR/GROVES, TX AREA WORKING AS A CRITICAL CARE PARAMEDIC/FIRE FIGHTER, SECURITY GUARD, TAE KWON DO STUDENT/INSTRUCTOR AND AHA/ARC INSTRUCTOR FOR THE PAST 14 YEARS; I BECAME AN EMT IN 1991 AFTER SERVING IN THE US NAVY. I BECAME AN AHA INSTRUCTOR AND VOLUNTEERED MY TIME SO THAT SCOUT LEADERS AND SCOUTS COULD LEARN CPR FOR FIRST AID MERIT BADGES AND BSA LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATIONS. IN 2018 I DECIDED TO START A SIDE BUSINESS TEACHING CPR AND FIRST AID CLASSES AFTER SEVERAL INJURIES WORKING IN EMS I CHOSE TO LEAVE THE AMBULANCE. I OBTAINED MY NCCER-CSST CERTIFICATION AND I INTEND TO EXPAND INTO MORE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION (AHA) CLASSES. I ENJOY VOLUNTEERING WITH MY CHURCH, TEXAS MILITARY HONORS TEAM AND HELPING FRIENDS WHEN I CAN.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Class
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content includes how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies, as well as perform CPR and use an AED. This course is recommended for Security Guards, Rapid Response Teams, Day Care Providers, Teachers, Baby Sitters, Company Safety Personnel, Foster Parents and anyone wishing to learn how to be of assistance in the event of an emergency.
